Hello & Happy Memorial Day weekend Fins Families!

We are excited for our first swim meet Tuesday!! We will be swimming at Kingsley Racquet and Swim Club.

Reminder that we will not have practice before the meet Tuesday because Dekalb County is still in school, so the coaches will do all marking up of athletes prior to the meet.

Two VERY IMPORTANT things to complete today:

1. If you have not already completed the RSVP for your child, please do so NOW! Coach Kelly needs to get the line-ups done and sent to the other coach today! Here is the link to RSVP!

2. We still have MANY volunteer positions open, and we cannot do this without you! If you have not signed up for a Volunteer position for Tuesday, PLEASE do so HERE.

The handbook is attached to this message, and includes descriptions of each volunteer position.

1. Swim Meet: The swim meet survival guide is also attached to this message. If you are new to the swim team, please read this before Tuesday.

Parking: They reserve the Kingsley parking lot for our team. Once parking fills up, cars may park on one side of the street on North Peachtree Way or on North Peachtree Road. Please do not park within 30 feet of the traffic calming devices or the entire area under the power lines on North Peachtree Road to avoid neighbor complaints.

Arrival Time: 4:15-4:30

- 4:30 Kingsley warm-up

- 5:00 DNDC warm-up

- 5:30 Meet starts

Team Area and Bullpens

Our bullpens will be set up on the right side of the of the pool - the side with the diving boards and baby pool. There is not much shade on the pool deck so we will be bringing 3 tents, but feel free to bring your own if you want to guarantee shade. There will be some chairs, but feel free to bring additional ones. *The diving well is not to be used during swim meets. Please keep swimmers out of that end of the pool and off diving boards.

Bathrooms and a water bottle filling station are located inside the Clubhouse (door next to the concession stand). We ask that, during meets, spectators please use the bathrooms in the "club house" located near the concessions. There are bathrooms in our "new" pavilion but they are located behind the blocks, which will be very busy with swimmers.

Concessions:

They will have a typical offering at their concessions including pizza, burgers, hot dogs, candy, chips and drinks. We accept Venmo or cash (small bills preferred). King of Pops may be available in the parking lot.

Rain Delay:

In case of a delay due to weather and we need to vacate the pool deck, we ask away teams to wait in their cars in the parking lot until a decision is made to wait it out, cancel, or postpone. Kingsley Dolphins will wait out weather in the clubhouse, but unfortunately there is not enough space for both teams.
